Why go
It is a few lanes off the Mouassine route, and many visitors never find it without help.
The dyers colour the wool that becomes the carpets and textiles of the souks. Vats steam in the workshops below the drying skeins; natural dyes give slightly uneven colours.
Tips
- Come in the morning, when the new skeins are hung out to dry.
- Photo tip: Looking up the lane at the skeins against the sky, mid-morning.
