Why we like it
Rooftop restaurant and bar facing the Koutoubia
El Fenn grew from a six-room guesthouse into 42 rooms spread across interconnected riads near the Koutoubia, co-owned by Vanessa Branson. Rooms are bold and colourful, and contemporary art hangs throughout, from Antony Gormley to Hassan Hajjaj.
Three pools, a spa with a hammam and a rooftop restaurant and bar with views of the Koutoubia and, on clear days, the Atlas make it the liveliest of the luxury riads.

Location
Medina, Marrakech
5 min on foot to Jemaa el-Fna
Located just a few steps from Jemaa el-Fnaa, El Fenn sits at the very heart of Marrakech’s Medina — where energy, culture, and daily life converge.
Despite its central location, once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The noise fades, replaced by calm courtyards, open skies, and a sense of creative escape above the city.
It’s the perfect balance: right in the middle of Marrakech’s most iconic landmarks, yet feeling like a private, hidden world.
