Why go
It sits in a narrow lane off the souk route, with no sign: most people walk past without looking up.
“Drink and look”: the name says what it was for. Built for travellers and their animals, the fountain is framed by a carved cedar lintel and an inscription in the wood.
It takes a minute to see, but it shows how much craftsmanship went into everyday buildings in the Medina.
Tips
- Combine with the dyers’ souk and Le Jardin Secret, a few minutes away.
